From informative courses to expert support, find out what resources you can access on Athlete365 to look after your mental health.

As athletes, prioritising your mental well-being can be just as important as maintaining your physical health. Staying mentally fit not only helps you in your day-to-day life, but can also improve performance.

As we mark World Mental Health Day, which raises awareness of mental health issues around the world, here is how we can help you take care of your mental well-being at Athlete365.

Boost your focus with mindfulness

Mindfulness can be an important practice when looking after your mental health, helping you to stay calm and focused.

And as Athlete365 members you can access an exclusive offer that gives you a free one-year subscription to a leading mindfulness application.

Positive results have been reported by 12,000 subscribers, with 84 per cent stating that their mental health had improved. And 66 per cent noticed changes in their physical health, highlighting the link between body and mind.

Get support anytime, anywhere

If you ever need support during difficult times, the Mentally Fit Helpline is here for Olympians and Paralympians who competed at Paris 2024 until 14 July 2028. For athletes competing at Milano Cortina 2026, you will have access to the helpline from the start of the Games.

The confidential service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in over 70 languages.

Access the helpline wherever you are in the world to speak to a dedicated professional independent of your coaches, your team and the IOC.

Whether your concerns are sport related or personal, the Mentally Fit Helpline is here to support you.

Learn new techniques

Athlete365 Learning also has multiple courses that can help you navigate mental health challenges and improve your mental well-being.

Get Mentally Fit

The Get Mentally Fit course educates you on the importance of mental strength and how to bring mindfulness techniques into your routine.

Across five topics, you can learn how to create a mental fitness plan to benefit you in both your sporting and non-sporting career.

Mindful Social Media

While social media is a useful tool that can help you build a personal brand, it can also create pressures that negatively impact your well-being.

To help navigate this, Athlete365’s Mindful Social Media course helps you recognise signs that social platforms are having a negative effect on your mental health.

Leading experts helped to design the sessions, which cover the benefits and drawbacks of social media, how to implement strategies that encourage the mindful use of apps, and where to seek support.

Sleep to Compete

Finally, getting a good night’s sleep is crucial for all athletes, whether you are competing or not, and Sleep to Compete teaches you how to prioritise high-quality rest.

In four short sessions, you’ll learn from other athletes about why sleep is crucial to performance and what techniques you can develop to help you get the rest you need.
