Hockey Australia is set to launch Talent Accelerator (TA32), a targeted athlete development initiative designed to identify and accelerate the next generation of world-class Australian hockey talent on the road to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games.

The stage is set, the nominees have been revealed, and the race for hockey’s most prestigious individual honours is officially on! The International Hockey Federation (FIH) is delighted to announce the outstanding athletes shortlisted for the FIH Player of the Year, FIH Goalkeeper of the Year and FIH Rising Star of the Year Awards 2026 – celebrating the players who have made the biggest impact, delivered unforgettable performances and inspired fans throughout an exceptional year of international hockey.

With the countdown underway for the hockey competitions at the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026, the stakes extend far beyond the continental podium. Held in Gifu, Japan, the tournament serves as the primary gateway to the Olympic Games Los Angeles 2028.
