Former Kookaburra champion and current National Junior Men's Coach Mark Hager has selected his junior squad to compete in a Junior Men's 8 Nations Invitational Tournament in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, 17-27 January 2008.

The squad of 18 includes two players who will make their international debuts in Nicholas Russ and Scott Garner.

Hager says the invaluable experience his players will gain at the 8 Nations Tournament will stand the side in good stead in preparation for the 2009 Junior World Cup.

"It is extremely pleasing to see many of the juniors gain some important international experience now as we head towards the 2009 Junior World Cup. In particular, it will be beneficial to play against some of the European nations as some of the players exposure to those nations has been limited to date," said Hager.

Overall seven changes have been made to the squad for the 2008 tournament, with Jacob Burns, Jason Wilson, Glenn Simpson, Garry Backhus and Matthew Butturini also forcing their way back into the squad.
