The President of the International Hockey Federation (FIH) and IOC member Els van Breda Vriesman has been elected in the Board of Governors of the International Masters Games Association.

The election for one place in the IMGA Board of Governors was necessary because of the death of one of its members Cesare Becalli. Mrs. Van Breda Vriesman was elected in Athens, Greece on Monday.

Mrs. Van Breda Vriesman received almost unanimous support and is elected until 2010, the year of the next elections of the IMGA Board of Governors. The FIH officially joined the IMGA in August 2007.
