The Belgian Hockey Association and men's national team coach Giles Bonnet decided that Bonnet will leave the position of coach with immediate effect. The decision was made after Belgium reached the sixth position at the BDO Champions Challenge. The South African coached the Belgian men's team for six years.
Australian Adam Commens has been announced as new coach. Commens played at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney for the Australian national team and is currently player of Antwerp in Belgium.
