The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has announced the appointment of Mr Christophe Dubi to the position of Sports Director. Dubi takes over from Kelly Fairweather, who resigned on 15 June.

An economics graduate and holder of a Masters in Sports Administration from Lausanne's Public Administration Higher Education Institute, Dubi started his career in finance and real estate. He subsequently worked as a political economics teacher. In 1996, he entered the Olympic world to work on his favorite subject: events management. Until today, he was responsible for Games management strategy and development at the IOC, leading the IOC's knowledge management activities, working closely with Olympic Games Executive Director Gilbert Felli.

Working with all the Organizing Committees, assisting them with the coordination and the organization of the Olympic Games, both Winter and Summer, Dubi has developed a strong knowledge of what Games organization entails in all aspects of the project.

He has also worked closely with the IOC President on the Youth Olympic Games concept which will be presented to the 119th IOC Session in the coming days.

Dubi takes on his new role at the beginning of August.

The FIH would like to congratulate Dubi with his appointment and wishes him good luck in his new job.
