The Coaching Education Pathway is divided into 4 levels: Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 and High Performance. To move through the pathway you must successfully complete the face-to-face and online courses at each level.

All levels focus on the following areas:

• Role of the Coach: roles, qualities, and characteristics of a FIH Hockey Academy Coach
• Preparing to Coach: preparing the environment, facilities, equipment, safety and emergency procedures
• Coaching Theory: relevant coaching knowledge theory
• The Athlete: athlete development stages
• The Game: rules and values of hockey and technical skills
• Plan, Do, Review: planning, goal setting, delivery strategies and evaluation method
