USA Field Hockey recently launched their Road to Rio campaign entitled 'Chasing The Dream', sponsored by Teamzila, designed to celebrate the US women’s qualification for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Part of their campaign is centred around building the profiles of their athletes as they select and spotlight one member of their national team on social media every Wednesday. To see some examples, click here.
By raising the profile of the team and their athletes they are hoping to drive fundraising for the team, which forms the core of this campaign.
Donors are being asked to contribute to Team USA's journey to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games via three tiers of donation ranging from $25-$50, $250-$500 and a third tier for companies willing to donate over $1,000. To find out more about the different tiers, click here.
The campaign has been rolled out nationwide and will see a number of other activities and tactics executed over the coming months in the lead up to the Games.
USA Field Hockey's member organisations will play a key role in delivering the marketing and communications elements as part of this campaign, and through such joined-up, it is hoped that donations will start to increase over the coming weeks.
