The International Hockey Federation (FIH) is delighted to announce a new global partnership with JSW, a prominent Indian multinational conglomerate active in steel, energy, infrastructure, cement, automotive, and paints. This marks a significant milestone in the continued growth of hockey worldwide.
JSW will become an FIH Global Partner under a multi-year agreement, supporting some of the sport’s most prestigious international events, with the upcoming FIH Hockey World Cup Belgium & Netherlands 2026 marking the first major event of this new partnership.
The JSW Group maintains a close association with sports, and hockey in particular. With a presence across India, the USA, South America, Europe, and Africa, it aims to foster a culture of sporting excellence in India through the professional management and sponsorship of sports teams and athletes. JSW has been an active supporter of the Hockey India League (HIL), contributing to the growth and development of the competition and helping strengthen the profile of hockey in India.
FIH President Tayyab Ikram said: “On behalf of FIH, I am delighted to welcome JSW as an FIH Global Partner. This partnership marks an exciting new chapter in our shared ambition to take hockey to new heights and make our sport bigger, stronger and more accessible around the world.
What makes JSW particularly special is its deep commitment to athletes. Supporting, motivating and standing behind athletes throughout their careers is at the heart of what JSW does. This is a noble cause and one that is very dear to me personally.
This partnership will help us inspire millions of current and future athletes and fans, while creating new opportunities for the next generation to discover, enjoy and connect with hockey.
We look forward to working closely with JSW to make an even greater impact and shape an exciting future for hockey worldwide.”
Parth Jindal, Founder & Director of JSW Sports, added: “Sport has the power to shape individuals, build communities and inspire generations. At JSW, we believe in supporting the ecosystem around athletes and creating opportunities for them to perform at their best.
Hockey has a special place in India’s sporting journey and our partnership with FIH gives us an opportunity to contribute to the sport on a global stage.
We are delighted to support FIH’s efforts to grow the game, engage more fans and create greater opportunities for athletes around the world.”
This strategic alliance reflects a shared commitment to growing the game, engaging fans worldwide, and inspiring the next generation of hockey players. By combining the FIH's global reach with JSW's excellence, the partnership will help elevate the sport, enhance fan experiences, and expand hockey's global impact.
