Lausanne, Switzerland - As the global sporting community comes together to celebrate Olympic Day on 23 June, the International Hockey Federation (FIH) will launch its inspiring new campaign, “Made for Hockey. Made for LA”, across its digital platforms and at FIH Hockey Pro League venues.
The campaign celebrates the journey behind sporting excellence and highlights the people who continuously shape and strengthen the game of hockey - from elite athletes and teams to fans, volunteers and local communities.
At the heart of the campaign is a powerful belief: the world's greatest athletes are not simply born ready for the biggest stage - they are made.
Made for Hockey is more than a slogan. It is a statement about dedication, perseverance, growth and the countless hours of effort that help athletes reach their full potential. It also recognizes the collective contribution of everyone involved in the sport, whose passion and commitment continue to drive hockey forward.
With hockey looking ahead to the Olympic Games in Los Angeles, the campaign takes on an additional dimension. Los Angeles is a city renowned for reinvention, ambition and creativity - qualities that align perfectly with hockey's exciting future on the Olympic stage.
These ideas come together in the campaign's central message:
Made for Hockey. Made for LA.
The campaign has been designed as a flexible creative platform that can evolve across different audiences, stories and communication channels.
Whether celebrating athletes, teams, fans, communities or moments of achievement, the concept provides a versatile framework that reflects the many ways people connect with hockey.
Alongside the launch of its own campaign, FIH will, as every year, actively support the International Olympic Committee's (IOC) global #LetsMove initiative.
This year's Olympic Day theme, “You Can Do This! Let's Move”, encourages people everywhere to embrace movement and discover the physical, mental and social benefits of sport.
The ongoing Let's Move initiative, developed by the IOC in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), aims to inspire and enable more people to participate in physical activity. In 2025, the campaign focuses particularly on empowering young people to take their first steps into sport and movement.
Across its social media platforms, FIH will amplify the #LetsMove campaign, connecting the Olympic Day message with hockey's values of inclusion, movement and lifelong participation.
The celebration will extend beyond digital platforms and into live events.
On 23 June, the “Made for Hockey. Made for LA” campaign will be showcased on giant screens at FIH Hockey Pro League venues, allowing players, fans and spectators to experience the campaign firsthand.
By integrating the activation into match-day environments, FIH aims to create a shared Olympic Day experience that celebrates both the future of hockey and the power of sport to inspire people of all ages to get moving.
FIH President Tayyab Ikram invited athletes and fans alike to embrace Olympic Day’s values and activities: “As a sport proud of being a determined and active member of the Olympic movement, Olympic Day reminds us that sport has the power to inspire, unite and move people across the world. Through our ‘Made for Hockey. Made for LA’ campaign, we celebrate the journey of every athlete, fan and community member who helps shape our sport. Together with the IOC’s #LetsMove initiative, we encourage people everywhere to take that first step, embrace movement and discover the joy that hockey and sport can bring.”
Made for Hockey. Made for LA.
