The Olympian Highlights Programme gives athletes access to official Olympic archive footage for the first time ever. Here’s everything you need to know about the groundbreaking initiative, which is now available for Beijing 2022 Olympians.

The IOC is always seeking new ways to empower the athletes at the heart of the Olympic Movement.

We know that sharing your story, including your time at the Olympic Games, is a crucial part of engaging with your fans and followers.

Now, with the Olympian Highlights Programme, you can tell that story in a whole new way.

How does it work?

The Olympian Highlights Programme will give you access to one approximately 60-second clip per Games edition that you have competed in.

This clip will contain a selection of competition highlights and, if applicable, medal ceremony footage.

For ice hockey and pairs figure skating, all team members from the same Games edition will receive the same official highlights clip.

It will be delivered to you in three formats: 16x9, 9x16 and 4x5 – each optimised for different social media platforms.

How can I use my highlights?

You will be able to post your official Olympian Highlights clip on your personal and official social media channels, provided it is for non-commercial use. To learn more about how you can personalise your clip and post on social media, please refer to the Olympian Highlights Programme Guidelines.

When filling in the request form, be sure to provide the social media accounts you intend to post the clips on, in order for us to grant relevant permissions to these specific accounts to post official Olympic footage. Please include all the handles/accounts where you will be posting, to help us ensure your posts do not get removed for copyright reasons.

When will my highlights be available?

The pilot phase of the programme is now available to athletes who competed at Beijing 2022.

The programme will be expanded later in 2026, with clips from Paris 2024 and Milano Cortina 2026. Additional Games editions will be made available over time.

How do I get my highlights?

For athletes who competed at Beijing 2022, you can request your Olympian Highlights via the form at the bottom of this page.

You will first be asked to verify your identity, unless you have already done so recently as part of another Athlete365 programme. In that case, this step will be skipped, and you will be redirected to the request form. This mandatory verification step ensures that your personal Olympian Highlights clip is delivered only to you.

By submitting the request form, you confirm that you have read and accept the Olympic Video Content and Image Usage Terms and Conditions and the IOC Privacy Notice on the processing of your personal data.

Once this process is complete, your clip will be available for download within a few days through the Athlete365 app and website, accessible via the “For You” section once you are logged in.

Don’t forget that you can also access all your available Games-time competition images through Athlete365.
