The Pakistan Hockey Federation has officially announced the 20-member national squad and team management for the FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup 2026 to be played in the Netherlands and Belgium from August 15 to 30, 2026.

After qualifying for the World Cup, Pakistan is ready to compete on the world’s biggest hockey stage. The announced squad includes the best combination of experienced international players and emerging young talents.

The Pakistan squad includes Waqar, Muhammad Abdullah, Muhammad Sufyan Khan, Moeen Shakeel, Abdul Waheed Ashraf Rana, Abdul Hanan Shahid, Zakaria Hayat, Arshad Liaquat, Adeel Latif, Ahmed Nadeem, Ghazanfar Ali, Imad Shakeel Butt, Muhammad Hammaduddin Anjum, Rehman Abdul, Afraz, Omar Mustafa, Abu Bakr Mahmood, Ali Raza, Abdul Matan, and Muhammad Imad.
Goalkeepers: Waqar and Ali Raza.

Team management will include Team Manager: Muhammad Owais Qarni Head Coach: Bob Johan Veldhof (Netherlands), Assistant Coach: Christopher John Bowen (Great Britain), Assistant Coach: Adnan Zakir and Video Technician: Ashraf Sultan.

Pakistan Hockey Federation President Mohiuddin Ahmed Wani has expressed full confidence in the announced squad and issued a message of best wishes for the players and support staff. He appealed to the nation to fully support and encourage the Green Shirts in their struggle to make Pakistan’s name known internationally.
